Have you ever heard of personal space? My husband, son and I were down the street from our house watching the sunset. We were the first to arrive, so we grabbed a prime spot in a little nook. Little by little, others joined us on this large, vacant beach. Then you two–clearly a tourist couple–arrived and sat right behind me. After spreading your legs out toward my head, you cracked open a cold one. As the sun set, you inched your feet closer to me. It was too much, so my husband kindly informed you two that you were invading my space, and made me feel uncomfortable. “It’s a public beach, brah!” you said. We didn’t want to pick a fight, so we left. Personal space at the beach is something to watch. We’re all trying to enjoy our small piece of paradise. So please give us some room!
