Last week we called you for an emergency and you guys were there! I never got a chance to thank you for your aloha and your driving skills. My wife went into unexpected labor on the Westside and you guys knew the baby wasn’t going to wait until we got to the hospital. So you pulled over on the Pali and delivered my first baby right there on the shoulder. After telling us it was a girl, you wiped your brow, jumped into the ambulance we jammed to S.O.J.A (quietly) playing on the radio until we got to Maui Memorial. But when we got there, some braddah told you that you were “driving too fast.” What?! I wanted to tell him, “Hey, the flashing lights and sirens mean ‘Move it, cuz!’” But you stayed professional. You just smiled and apologized as you wheeled my wife and newborn into the emergency room. My baby and wife are alive and well, thanks to you. Mahalo!
