Sunday, Feb. 19 marks the 75th anniversary of President President Franklin Roosevelt’s signing of Executive Order 9066, which paved the way for the internment of more than 100,000 people of Japanese ancestry during World War II. To bring more awareness of this travesty, the Nisei Veterans Memorial Center has a new pop-up exhibit that will showcase photography and relics from Hawaii during internment. The exhibit, which opens today, runs through Friday, March 10. Free. Mon-Fri. 12pm. Nisei Veterans Memorial Center, (665 Kahului Beach Rd., Kahului); 808-244-6862; Nvmc.org
