My first collection was in 2010
How did you get your start in the Fashion Design and/or retail industry? When was this? Did you have any formal training?
I studied business at Arizona State University and then studied Fashion at U of H Maui College.
I have worked for Teri at If the Shoe Fits
I have worked for Wings, HI as a seamstress for their bikini line called Honi Honi
I currently work for Tamara Catz and own my business ARIE BIKINIS
What is your philosophy of design?
“I see fashion as a means of self-expression, life, freedom and imagination.”
Where do you draw your style inspiration from? Who is your favorite style icon?
I draw my style inspiration from my island girl lifestyle. Living year
round in a bikini, going to work with sandy feet and letting my hair dry
naturally in the wind. I get my inspiration from the island lifestyle.
What are the current trends in your industry?
Monokinis, strappy, ethnic prints, reversible, macramé, crochet accents.
What is your signature style?
Reversible, soft high quality fabric, seamless, custom suits
Tell me about your collection. What makes your line (and/or retail store) stand out from the crowd?
My line is designed and constructed here on Maui.

A beautiful bikini, cover up and beaded flats.
Biggest fashion no-nos?
Never wear a bikini top that is too small.
