Who knows if Penguin Awareness Day is a real thing (even this webpage dedicated to it could find little information on its origins), but who cares because everyone loves penguins, right? Anyway, the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort in Ka`anapali has about half a dozen African Black-Footed penguins, and tomorrow morning at 9:30am they’re holding a special feeding and other penguin-related activities like penguin cookie decorating and photo-ops with a penguin mascot.
The whole thing takes place at the hotel’s penguin habitat, located in the Atrium lobby. You can share any penguin photos you take on social media with the hashtag #PenguinInParadise
