The 23rd annual East Maui Taro Festival lands in Hana this Saturday and Sunday. The two-day festival features hands-on demonstrations including poi-pounding, lauhala-weaving and kapa-making. There will also be food booths and a farmers’ market. Sunday will include a kalo pancake breakfast, Lo’i excursion and garden tours. Times Vary. Hana Ballpark, Tarofestival.org
