Nagasako’s is a neat little nook that epitomizes the mom and pop M.O. Nostalgic, cluttered and (on the deli side) a little cramped, it’s one of the last holdouts for that old Lahaina town feel. The grinds are mean, though there are few places to sit. But who’d want to with all the West side adventures that await? The beauty of the plate lunch is its portability, after all. Appropriately too, they’ve snagged the award for Best Spam Musubi—the ultimate local-style meal-on-the-go. Why? They keep it simple. Just one kind on the menu. With energies focused, and Spam sauteed in special sauce, it’s no wonder it’s a winner.
