BEST DESSERT
roy,s
Roy’s takes the cake—sorry, couldn’t resist—on this one and it should be no surprise if you’ve ever seen their dessert menu. It’s a hard-to-deny list of delectable little treats. There’s the brown sugar creme brulee, served in a small, yet deep, ramekin and perfectly caramelized on top. There were tiny pieces of pineapple and a puff of whipped cream adorning it. But what kind of reporter would I be if I didn’t try the famous chocolate souffle? One slice into this little bad boy sent the chocolate inside gushing out to mix with the berry sauce and vanilla ice cream on the plate. I think the sprinkle of powdered sugar really pulled it all together for an aesthetically and orally pleasing delicacy. 4405 Honoapi’ilani Hwy, Kahana, 669-6999; 303 Pi’ikea Ave., Kihei, 891-1120.
