kihei public library
You don’t often see this phrase in the Western media, but the Kihei Public Library is one kick-ass library. It’s fairly spacious, with lots of big windows and plenty of nice, cool—but not too cool—recirculated air flowing through the building. It’s not as comprehensive as the Kahului Public Library—they have microfiche!—but it does have a good reference desk, plenty of CDs and DVDs and lots of newspapers for your reading pleasure. Even back issues of Environment Hawai’i and the Lanai Times ! 35 Waimahaihai, Kihei, 875-6833.
