Kapalua Tennis raised $1,311 during a silent auction at the recent Kapalua Open. All proceeds benefit The Maui District Tennis Association Scholarship Fund.
“We are pleased to be able to support the Maui District Association Scholarship Fund through our efforts,” said Jason Purcell, Director of Tennis. “Supporting this great game and growth of tennis on Maui is an important goal for Kapalua Tennis.”
The scholarship fund helps finance travel expenses so tennis teams and players from Maui can participate at events across the region, mainland, and internationally; the funds go toward tennis players of all ages.
In exchange, the teams and players selected to receive scholarship funds provide supportive community service hours to the MDTA.
