Maui’s Danny Mynar has been named the assistant general manager of Destination Resorts Hawaii by Destination Hotels & Resorts. In his new post, Mynar will oversee the daily operations of more than 200 private homes. He will also be called upon to increase owner and guest satisfaction, profitability and employee morale. Mynar’s responsibilities include working with the executive team in implementing the vision, strategic growth, development and future of Destination Resorts Hawaii.
“Danny is a strong leader with valuable experience in resort operations, important abilities that will make him a great addition to our management team,” said Ben Beaudoin, general manager of Destination Resorts Hawaii. “He also embraces and practices many of our company’s core values including our dedication to share aloha, ho’okipa and authentic experiences of our island home. We couldn’t have found a better match.”
Mynar previously worked as general manager of Travaasa Hana. He also has held management positions at Grand Wailea, Hyatt Regency Maui and Fairmont Kea Lani.
The Maui native is a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served as a field artillery officer. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business from New Mexico State University and graduated from Hana High School. He currently serves on the board for Hana Maui Trust.
