Best Out of Business Business

The club scene here on Maui can be really tough. Establishments come and go, and the reasons for failure are sometimes not that clear. In any case, our readers are clearly lamenting the loss of one of their favorite hot spots for food, drink and dance. Ocean’s won the posthumous Best of Maui prize but sadly, it won’t be enough to bring them back from the dead. @jenrusso

They carry a considerable number of Hawaiiana as well, and tons of magazines. They also sell music, movies, games and, of course, coffee. As for runner-up Maui Friends of the Library, they’re a nonprofit, run by volunteers, and now have locations in Kahului, Lahaina and Pu‘unene. For those wanting used books, MFOL is your best bet.
