With antique and vintage wedding themes all the rage, getting married in a historic building with natural Hawaiian botanical gardens is as authentic as you can get. There’s no minimum number of guests but you’re maxed out here at 100. Also, the place has to quiet down at 10pm as it’s in a residential neighborhood. There is parking on the premises and some of the street. Museum members receive extra discounts. Rental pricing starts at $175/hour.
The Bailey House was built in 1833, the first Western style structure of its kind in the Iao area. Soaking up the displays and history of the buildings as well as the beautiful art and artifacts is a bonus. They also have a hall that can be rented. The gardens are amazing and the lawn has a built-in rock-wall and grass stage. You bring your own entertainment and catering.

The Napili Kai retains their charming, thatched huts on the beach style. Open more than 50 years, no buildings grow higher than a coconut tree in the Napili Bay area.They have options for parties from 20 to 200 guests, but no wedding planner. Music has to end by 9:30pm. All food and beverage must be handled by the resort. There are no packages so you can design your own through their a la carte selections, and they have a handy list of vendors to help you with flowers, photos and planners. Location fees start at $500 for guests and $750 for kama‘aina.
The resort has several locations for your ceremony. The Aloha Pavillion is a gorgeous outdoor spot that can hold up to 250. Lani Point has a romantic and intimate ocean view spot for up to 12. The Bluff at Puna is an oceanfront lawn space and Plumeria Garden offers the fragrant canopy of these flowers for your party of up to 200. The beautiful north side of Keka‘a Point offers the tropical and serene grounds of the Royal Lahaina. It’s the quieter side of Kaanapali, but with all the benefits of a big resort. Parking is no problem on the property and room rates start at a reasonable $155 for wedding parties, with available upgrades for the wedding couple. Royal Lahaina has an ocean-view ballroom and outdoor locations that are right on the beach in Ka‘anapali. They also offer incentives for kama‘aina.
The resort has a wedding department that offers great packages. They dial in details from leis to exchange, flowers, marriage license, canopy, music, professional photography, champagne toasts, wedding cakes and DJs. These range from $2,200 to $10,000, depending on the size of the party and amenities chosen, and you can add food and drink as well.

The Wailea Seaside Chapel was built on the property for weddings. It has New England architecture, Murano glass chandeliers, hand-crafted stained glass windows made by local artist Yvonne Cheng and mahogany floors. A lagoon surrounds the chapel and a beautiful gazebo is nearby and overlooks the ocean. Add-ons like butterflies and doves are just a call away. Their wedding team can create any theme you desire, and aren’t afraid to bring in items from elsewhere if they can’t find them locally. Banquet menus are offered to kama‘aina at $60 per person for 50-plus guests. The spa has a wedding showroom to demo available decor, centerpieces, photography, linens, chairs and more.
