If being an MC was like going to school, Pato Banton would have a masters degree. Or at least that’s the way he puts it in his song “Don’t Sniff Coke.” This reggae artist sure doesn’t need any coke to keep him up and running at all hours of the night. Pato, the name given to him by his step-father, is also a nocturnal Jamaican Owl, and suits him just fine. Banton is from London, and spent a good bit of his childhood guarding the door at his step-fathers’ illegal parties. The 9-year old bouncer became an MC in his teenage years, and his career as an MC and musical performer skyrocketed from there. His upbeat music and positivity will have you dancing and laughing all night long to the sounds of lovable reggae beats and playful lyrics. Any Pueo’s looking for a good time should head out to Ocean’s Bar and Grill at 9:30 PM on Saturday, April 24th to sing all night long with Pato Benton and Breath of Fire. For those of you who haven’t had a chance to experience Breath of Fire yet, rest assured that they are a fun, irresistible band that will have you tripping on a musical high in no time.
