Next year’s concert season at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center is already looking good with Bonnie Raitt hitting the MACC early in the year. Raitt and her longtime band–featuring Maui musician James “Hutch” Hutchinson on bass–will perform on the outdoor stage at the MACC’s A&B Amphitheater and Yokouchi Pavilion on March 24.
The MACC show is part of Raitt’s extended world tour in support of her twentieth album Dig In Deep. Following the Maui show, the 10-time Grammy-award winning Raitt will head to New Zealand and Australia for several dates including a stop at Bluesfest Byron Bay.
Raitt’s connection to Maui runs deep. In addition to employing a longtime Maui resident in her band, she was recently inducted into the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame alongside Kris Kristofferson (and B.B. King); and performed several songs with Willie Nelson (and Taj Mahal, Mavis Staples and Gary Clark Jr.) at Austin’s ACL Live at The Moody Theatre. The induction ceremony is scheduled for broadcast on PBS this New Year’s Eve.
Tickets for Bonnie Raitt with special guests The California Honeydrops are $49, $69, $89 with a limited number of $129 seats (plus applicable fees). Tickets will be available to MACC members on Saturday, Nov. 12. Ticket limits apply based upon level of membership. Tickets will be available to the general public on Saturday, Dec. 3. At the artist’s request and to avoid ticket scalping, seats sold in the first 10 rows for this concert will be held at the box office for pick-up only on the day of the concert.
