TriLanai Triathlon – Sun. Nov 22. TriLanai concludes the fall 2015 season with its 7th annual triathlon. This community-sponsored event includes a 0.5-mile swim in the beautiful marine preserve of Hulopoe Bay, followed by an exhilarating 10-mile mountain bike-ride passing the La Ola Solar Farm, and a scenic 3-mile run along the Manele Golf Course. The triathlon may be tackled individually or as a relay team, and is suitable for both casual and experienced triathletes. “Haleakala – A Trek for Dignity” Documentary Screening – Sat. Sep 19. Don Lane is a Maui Filmmaker and an advocate for those with mental illness, he was personally diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Just two years ago he was homeless and in crisis. Since then he has recovered, organized benefits in Hawaii, and has just completed a documentary in an effort to rid stigma. His goal is to hopefully inspire others diagnosed and to let them know that recovery is possible.
