The island-wide Obon Dance Festival continues with a stop at the Paia Mantokuji Mission this Friday, July 10 and 11. Rooted in Buddhist practice, the festival honors ancestors with ritual food offerings, lantern lighting and dance. The festival has evolved into a Japanese cultural event, complete with colorful celebration, local food, music and more. Free. 6pm service. 8pm dance.
