Maui Huliau Foundation presents the fifth annual Huliau Youth Environmental Film Festival this Saturday, May 30, at the Iao Theater. The showcase highlights short films made by Maui youth, ranging in topics from consumption to climate change. The lineup features Distress Call, Wai: A Public Resource, Ready to Stand up, Foam Free Future, Detective Pideon: A Timeless Mystery, Let the ‘Opihi Rest and The Adventures of Fast Food Fighters. The event promotes environmental literacy and leadership for youth. This year’s youth behind the camera represent 10 Maui schools. $5 (18 & under) $15 (adult). 7pm. Iao Theater (68 N.
