On Saturday, July 23, check out the Cordage Making Workshop at the Maui Nui Botanical Gardens. Making cordage is the craft of making rope, an essential survival skill for pre-contact Hawaiians. Participants will use various fibers to learn techniques to make cordage from native plants. The workshop will be taught by Kuma Lisa Schattenburg-Raymond and Lei Ishikawa.
