Before the holidays, I was passing by the memorial above Pukalani and noticed that the five poinsettias had blown over in the heavy weather we had. I stopped and picked them up. They hadn’t gotten any of that rain because they were sideways so in the next days I watered them too. After Christmas, I saw that one was on its side so I stopped to pick that up on my way home. I’m writing because what I found were branches broken off of the beautiful plants these families and friends had planted! A kind friend provided some root boost but the question is who would do this? Is that how you would want your loved ones memorial treated? No! In my opinion, we as a community should donate ground cover/plants/care. Please show some respect, at the very least.
