This year’s Touchdowns for Tatas raised more than $12,000 for the Pacific Cancer Foundation. Representatives for The Beach House and Dollie’s Pub and Cafe are appreciative to everyone for supporting the 4th annual Touchdowns for Tatas event, which was held on Oct. 24. In addition, all donations to the Pacific Cancer Foundation will stay in Maui County.
The $12,204 raised doubles last year’s donation–and exceeded the $10,000 goal. On hand for the event were Jim Anderson, owner of the Beach House and Dollie’s Pub ‘n’ Cafe; Nancy La Joy, executive director of the Pacific Cancer Foundation; Debbie Patton, Touchdowns for Tatas Chair; and Seth Kuperman, owner of the Beach House and Dollie’s Pub ‘n’Cafe.
More than 90 businesses provided multiple prizes to the successful silent auction and raffle. The organizers also extend a special thanks to the Hotel Molokai and Makani Kai Air for representing Molokai this year by donating a trip to the neighbor island.
The event also featured a performance by Marty Dread who supports many charitable events including Touchdowns for Tatas.
