If you love to cook local Maui recipes, then you might want to check out Look What’s Cooking in Makawao, a new cookbook for sale at the Makawao History Museum. It’s a collection of recipes from local residents, with facts about life Upcountry and a few historical photos thrown in.
The book, which can be yours for a $20 donation, was put together by museum advisers Sunny Jordan, Judy Mertens and historian/museum director Gail Ainsworth with help from an Atherton Family Foundation grant.
The Makawao History Museum is located at 3643 Baldwin Ave. in Makawao. It’s open daily, 10am-4pm. For more information, click here for their Facebook page.
