The Maui Arts and Cultural Center, in collaboration with the PA‘I Foundation, is presenting Maoli Arts Month (MAMo) this Saturday, June 20. MAMo’s Wearable Art Show celebrates Hawaiian culture and fashion. From contemporary cutting edge designs to traditional patterns and motifs, there will be a range of pieces on display from local artists like Maile Andrade, Koa Johnson, Anna Kahalekulu, Lauwa`e, Lufi Luteru, Manaloa, Marques Hanalei Marzan, Maile Na`ehu and Wahine Toa. There will also be hula performances by Nāpua Greig and Hālau Na Lei Kaumaka O Uka as well as Pāʻū O Hiʻiaka with kumu hula Hōkūlani Holt. $35-45 (show only) $65 (+Trunk Show & Meet & Greet) 6pm Trunk Show. 7:30pm Event.
