Beer dinners are a special treat and we have to wait all the way until October when its Octoberfest to see them. Bev Gannon’s Octoberfest menu is spectacular, this event is sure to impress palates with its German undertones. I can’t get over the dessert, a porter banana split. Heaven!

Hali‘imaile General Store is hosting a Beer Dinner on October 2, 2010 in partnership with Maui Brewing Co.

Inspired by the Octoberfest tradition, Bev Gannon has created a unique menu celebrating autumn foods and beer. Join the party at Hali‘imaile General Store and enjoy a hearty 5-course dinner, each to be paired with Maui Brewing Co. beers.

Starter

Maui Onion, Lager & Cheese Soup – served with homemade potato perogies and caraway cream

1st Course

Pan-fried veal “Schnitzel” mushroom cream

2nd Course

Farm Fresh Salad – organic Kula baby lettuces, braised turnips, organic rainbow carrots, radishes, warm bacon, mustard & orange vinaigrette, potato gaufrette

3rd Course

House-made Brautwurst – served with beer-braised cabbage and “Halushki-style” spaetzle

4th Course

“Banana Split” – almond & macadamia macaroon, German buttercream, raspberry coulis, choco- late ganache, local apple bananas – Coconut Porter Float
